According to a recent study published in the journal Heliyon, increasing decline of the arctic sea ice is due to the climate change. The team is led by the prestigious Indian organization NCPOR(National Center for Polar and Ocean Research) based in Goa.
Arctic sea ice could disappear by 2035 and the study also shows that the September of 2018 was the third warmest on record, with temperature differences of the air above the Arctic Ocean (~3.5°C) to be slightly higher than that of the Arctic land (~2.8°C).
