PM Cares Fund updates.

PM Cares funds have crossed over 3000 crore in collection in 2019-2020. During 2019-20, an amount of ₹39.68 lakh was also collected in foreign currency in PM CARES Fund.
Publicly announced donations include over ₹1,000 crore from public sector oil and gas companies, ₹500 crore from employees of the Defence Ministry and the armed forces, as well as ₹500 crore each from the Tata Group and Reliance Industries.
Money from PM Cares Fund can’t be transferred to National Disaster Response Fund, says Supreme Court.
The Prime Minister is the ex-officio chairman of the fund and the defence, home and finance ministers are its ex-officio trustees.
The Fund was registered as a public charitable trust on March 27, 2020.
