Banned 118 apps including the popular app PUBG.
The ministry of information and technology said that in a second round the centre has banned 118 apps including the popular app PUBG. Earlier in june, the centre had banned 59 apps including TikTok.
The complaints alleged stealing and surreptitiously transmitting users’ data in an unauthorized manner to servers which possibly had locations outside India.
PUBG (Playerunknown’s Battlegrounds) is an online multiplayer game developed and published by PUBG Corporation, a subsidiary of South Korean video game company Bluehole.
